Identify and describe all controls, adjustments, and functions of the 3D
Mount a spindle between two centers
Blank properly squared and centered
Proper grain orientation
Appropriate centers used
Blank mounted very firmly
Turning the spindle
Tool rest placed close to workpiece, but not touching
Wearing mask
Starts by using roughing (square) tool
Workpiece not touching tool when started
Appropriate hand/body position
Right hand far back on handle, on top
Left hand holding close to tool rest
Tool parallel with floor, cutting edge up
Test for circularness, either by placing tool on top or stopping and checking
Try other two tools
Try sanding
Put tenon on end of workpiece
Chuck workpiece in self centering chuck
Drill hole in end using keyless chuck and drill bit
Cleaning up tool
Replacing accessories
Vacuumed up after use
