Unleash your creativity and learn how to make a pumpkin using chainmaille techniques. This special 2.5-hour seasonal class requires no previous experience and will cover the basics of various types of jump rings, their sizes, materials, and how to properly open and close them. Building on this foundation, you'll progress to more advanced techniques, allowing you to construct an intricate chainmail pumpkin that showcases your newfound skills and is perfect for Halloween or year-round display. Class projects will include a mobius necklace and whirlybird pumpkin.

If you usually require magnification during your work, please bring your equipment as we are working with small rings. All materials are provided but if you have your own jewelry pliers, you are welcome to bring them. To avoid hand fatigue, I highly recommend the below plier set. They will last through all levels of chainmaille projects.

1st Floor Room

This educational room has seating and tables suitable for instruction away from the noise of the main workshop. It is located on the first floor of 770 Chapel Street. Guests should ring the MakeHaven doorbell, then proceed down the long hallway. When you get the main MakeHaven staircase by the double elevators, rather than go downstairs, proceed through the double glass doors, take a right down the hallway and you will see a room with a big robot sticker on the door.
