Join us for a fun and creative workshop where you will learn how to make your own LED light ghost!

All materials will be provided, including copper rods and battery-powered LED eyes. No experience is necessary. Brian, your instructor, will provide step-by-step instructions, and there will be plenty of time for questions and assistance.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • The basics of electrical wiring, the flow of electricity with series and parallel circuits
  • How to bend copper rods into the shape of a ghost
  • Attach battery-powered LED eyes to the ghost
  • Basic soldering for metal work

If time allows, you will also have the opportunity to make a second LED badge of your choosing.

Brian is a maker who is does not focus on one discipline. From CNC to 3d printing to electronics, he incorporates many disciplines into his projects. He is always willing to learn new skills and pass them on to others who want to learn as well.

1st Floor Room

This educational room has seating and tables suitable for instruction away from the noise of the main workshop. It is located on the first floor of 770 Chapel Street. Guests should ring the MakeHaven doorbell, then proceed down the long hallway. When you get the main MakeHaven staircase by the double elevators, rather than go downstairs, proceed through the double glass doors, take a right down the hallway and you will see a room with a big robot sticker on the door.
