24 Event or Activity:
Japanese joinery workshop.

There is interest in learning the fascinating traditional joinery used by Japanese woodworkers.
This could be a beginner & an advanced level presentation. Both hands on.

21 Event or Activity:
Wood joinery workshop for common western technique.

A number of people in the woodworking shop would benefit from demonstrations on how to achieve the joinery they desire for their project.

10 Event or Activity:
Extended Textiles Workshop - Knitting Machine, CNC Embroidery with Inkscape

I'd like to propose a few more workshop/classes on some of the textile tools available at the space. The rug tufting class has to be one of the most successful operations at MakeHaven - why not have some special training available for CNC Embroidery and the knitting machine?

7 Event or Activity:
Fusion 360 training, on site

There are so many random tutorials out there for it, but in the end, they are not cohesive - from beginning to the point where it is useful for working with on our CNC machines. It would just be great to have someone to make the process more clear.

6 Event or Activity:
Hand Planes for Beginners

Hand planes are intimidating to work with if one doesn't know how. I own a few and never know if I have it set up properly or not. People can bring their own planes and use the Tormek to sharpen their blades.

Make Cement Planters

A good summer activity, we could have reusable molds in our inventory. https://www.popularmechanics.com/home/lawn-garden/how-to/g875/how-to-bui...

3 Event or Activity:
CAM with Fusion360

VCarve and OMAX are both platform-specific software with their own set of idiosyncrasies and payment packages. Fusion360 is ostensibly free and can design for most of the machines in the space - but there is a lack of in-depth training available. Why not see if an adept member can volunteer some time for a class?

House keeping and community spirit meeting

Chris La Salle and Catherine CW are requesting a meeting for addressing more engaging communal housekeeping. We want to see folks caring and respecting the space and tools provided and think a meeting is in order. Thank you

Class on installing Arch linux on laptop encrypted drive

Would very much like to learn how to setup up a boot sector on a secondary/non-primary drive(a lot of people have windows PC's with room for second drives), encrypt the rest of the drive, and install archlinux (preferably led by someone who has a bit of experience with these things so that they may be able to answer questions about setting up encryption and Arch.
