Hand Routers
Video watched, quiz taken, hair/clothing properly restrained, any questions? Wear shop apron if desired
Identify and describe all controls, adjustments, and functions of the trim router and its accessories
Route a bead around the edge of a piece of wood using either the plunge base or fixed depth base
Piece of wood secured well, no staples etc.
Appropriate bit chosen (with bearing), and secured well
Router unplugged when bit is changed
Cord out of way
Appropriate speed setting
Two hands holding the tool
Workpiece not touching tool when started
Router always moving against the direction that the bit is spinning
Bit stopped before router is put down
Route a pocket
Same as above, except no bearing on bit
Look at other outers and their uses
Cleaning up tool
Replacing accessories
Vacuumed up after use
