- Estop on tool changes

- You are responsible for the safety of others: make sure they are out of the way
- If they have a cut file ready use that, otherwise make one. To make sure the file is safe:
- Where is the datum located?
- What material thickness was used?
- What speeds and feeds did you use?
- Load toolholder
- Collet loaded properly
- Tool tightened as hard, appropriate stick out
- Warmup:
- Filter vacuumed
- Rails wiped and vacuumed
- Turn on air
- Turn on machine
- Machine homed
- Spindle warmed up (16k for 3 mins)
- Tool loaded (estop pressed, tool and spindle cleaned)
- Work clamped
- Vacuum if appropriate, relevant ducts used
- Clamps placed well and tightly, at declined angle
- If screws are needed, place them between channels, and trim MDF when they’re removed
- Load CAM file
- Touch off work piece, Z 2” up for test run, then final height
- Practice using pause (p) and resume (s), spindle speed override
- Cleaning up tool
- Replacing accessories, bit, collet
- Vacuumed up after use
- Air off
- Box off
- If you crashed, what would you do?
- Over travel: click override limits and jog back
- Stalled motor: reboot box
- Overheated spindle: Shut down and cool off for 3 hours
- Report on Slack as appropriate
