- The controls on the machine
- What is the compressed air for, turn it on
- What materials can be cut (anything conductive)
- Make sure any coatings are ground off 2” from all cuts
- Take apart and reassemble the tip of the cutter
- Cut a piece of scrap metal
- Appropriate safety gear donned
- Skin covered with non-synthetics
- Gloves (non-synthetic), wrists covered
- Mask (10-13 shade, delay), test by looking at ceiling lights
- Cap for head
- Closed shoes
- Set PSI and electricity on machine
- Fume extractor set up and turned on
- Appropriately secure workpiece
- Attach work clamp
- Experiment with settings/travel speed
- Shut down
- Air and Fan off
- Lines coiled
- Area cleaned
