sewing needles get dull and need to be changed. Use a Universal sewing machine needle for light weight sewing. If you are using heavy fabric, like denim, canvas, leather or fine fabrics like silk, nylons, or stretch fabrics, you will need to get needle suitable for that type of fabric.
