MakeHaven Patio

A large ground level outdoor stone patio space that can be accessed out the back doors of the 770 Chapel Street building or by entering the courtyard from around 71 Orange Street.

Sadly, we must cancel our party due to the overlap with the postponed Night Market and staff availability. But we are hoping to reschedule for October so stay tuned! Still psyched to go out Sarturday nigth? GO TO NIGHT MARKET! MakeHaven will be there!

MakeHaven member Ruby has being working on using the CNC machine to mill out blocks for very large prints. Her work is on display at a exhibition in Artspace called Footnotes and Other Embedded Stories. She will show the art and discuss the process of how it was made.

Get comfortable in the woodshop while you create a beautiful cutting board! No experience necessary.

In this introductory class, you'll learn to use of the planer, table saw, chop saw, and sander, then finish your cutting board with mineral oil. It’s a great opportunity for those looking to get started in the woodshop but who may feel initially intimidated or those who prefer directed learning.

You will leave class with knowledge, hands-on experience, and your own handmade cutting board!

This no-cost mold making and casting seminar will introduce attendees to a new world of material possibility and how to work with rubbers, plastics, foams and gypsums.

The MakeHaven community has been active in finding DIY solutions to the Covid-19 crisis.

This session will review the needs and the progress and status of each of the projects. Updates will be presented by team leads and there will be a brief opportunity for questions related to each project. 

Solution/ Project Leads will present in less than 5 minutes:

  • Brief recap, what is being done and why.
  • Progress since last week
  • Remaining needs (materials, knowledge, labor)

Questions will be at end of presentations.

Join Community Supported Brewing (CSB) to brew beer together! CSB is a group of people that make beer as a group so we can learn from each other and have partners in ale trying all of our well made and our favorite beers.

Newbies welcome! While waiting we will be hanging out sharing our brewing experience and learning from one other about the craft. Drop in for part or stick around for all. CSB is a group for bringing good beer to good people! BYOB welcome.
