Hire a Maker

MakeHaven is a community workshop with hundreds of members who weld, build furniture, sew, 3D print, laser cut and more. Tell us what you need: something made or fixed, a job you are hiring for, or help staffing an event. Once a staff member has looked it over, we share it with our members on Slack, and interested members contact you directly.

Could you make it yourself? Often you can do more than you think. Take a tour and we will show you how.

  • Arrangements are made directly between you and the member.
  • MakeHaven passes your request along as a courtesy and takes no responsibility for any agreement or work.
What are you looking for?
For example "Weld a gate latch", "Part-time woodshop assistant" or "Festival setup crew, Oct 18".
What needs doing, any skills or tools it needs, and anything a maker should know before getting in touch.
Kind of work
For example "$25/hour", "$300 for the job", "open to quotes" or "volunteer". Requests with a number get far more replies.
For example "by November 15" or "Saturday Oct 18, 8am to 6pm".
Town or address, or "remote", or "at MakeHaven".
