Cozy Creations: Stuffed Animal Workshop Series

Bring your creativity to life by designing and sewing your own stuffed animals! In this four-session series, held Sundays from January 4th through January 25th, participants will learn the full process—from stitching and shaping to adding expressive features and personal details. You’ll explore both hand-sewing and basic embroidery techniques while learning how to customize existing patterns to make your creations truly one-of-a-kind.

Traditional Piecing: Intro to Quilt Block Construction

In this hands-on quilting workshop, participants will learn the foundations of traditional piecing - one of the core skills in quilt making. You’ll explore how to plan a quilt block, calculate finished measurements, cut pieces accurately, and assemble them with balanced color and clean seams. By the end of class, each participant will have completed a few quilt blocks and built confidence with the fundamentals of quilting.

During the program, participants will go through tool introductions, both as a group and independently with guidance. These digital badges serve as a record of the participant's progress in completing the required safety orientations for different tools. The goal of the program is to earn 12+ badges with at least two in each of the focus areas (wood, metal, textiles, digital), and complete a project in each section that can be presented in a show-and-tell session during graduation.

Intro to Sewing: Get to Know Your Machine

In this hands-on beginner workshop, participants will learn to operate a sewing machine with confidence—no experience required. Whether you’ve never touched a machine or you’re convinced you “just aren’t crafty,” this class will gently guide you through the basics while building your comfort and skills step by step. You’ll learn how to thread and care for a sewing machine, practice essential hand stitches, and get familiar with the core tools every sewist should know. Along the way, you’ll create two useful starter projects: a customized pin cushion with a matching pin-cushion bag, plus a small safety-pin bag. You’ll leave with handmade sewing tools—and the confidence to continue your sewing journey.
