To this end we are hosting an online pitch competition for the extended MakeHaven community. We invite anyone with an invention, creative work, or idea that can become a business to participate.

Being able to make a good pitch for your idea can make the difference that gains allies and wins funding.  There are many tips and tricks to developing a good pitch that the early entrepreneur is not likely to know. 

In this session Richard Guha will break down the elements of a wining pitch. This will be followed by a questions and answers session with Richard.

In this hands-on workshop, you will create your own agar art using live microbes.  Participants will create agar art by painting with microbes and learn how to use traditional biology lab techniques with artistic tools. Before the experience you watch a video giving basic instruction of how to use the tools.

You will be assigned to one of four half-hour “painting” sessions to come and painton February 23; sessions scheduled to limit participant occupancy.

Colin will demonstrate what hehas learned about 3d design in Blender (free, open source, 3D design software). He will make a photo realitic rendering of a towel that was made using zero actual modelling, but instead uses physics to drop a cloth and then particle simulation to render the little fibers.
