MakeHaven Main Space

The main makerspace and connected shops. This is located at 770 Chapel Street. Registered participants should ring the MakeHaven labeled doorbell. They will be directed down a long hallway, and down a set of stairs to our basement workshop.

We will be doing a brew on the HERMs. Drop in and learn about brewing and the system we have setup for it.

Board Game Night (now with RSVP)

We're hosting a board game night, so you're invited to check out 3D-printers, laser engravers, CNC embroidery, and all sorts of nerdery as we play some games.



Bring something to play with and/or snack on and/or drink in, we'll have piles of options.

A scroll saw is a small electric saw that is useful for cutting intricate curves in cases where a jigsaw or coping saw is not appropriate.

The largest single-day spectator event in the state of Connecticut, the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade, steps off at 1:30 p.m, on Sunday, March 15, 2015 and passes less than a block from MakeHaven. Lets gather at the space and enjoy some grub and maybe a few brews before joining the masses to watch the Parade.  If you have ever been to the parade before you will recognize that access to MakeHaven and the bathrooms are a valuable resource during the parade.

Jacob will be brewing on the HERMs system. Drop in an check out the brewing system in action and learn a thing our two about how it works.

The Brother Sewing Machine is a versatile tool available in the makerspace for sewing and crafting projects. Members use it to create garments, accessories, and home decor items, as well as to repair or alter existing fabrics. Its user-friendly design accommodates both beginners and experienced sewists, making it a popular choice for a variety of textile-based projects.

Kinect for Xbox is a motion-sensing input device originally designed for gaming, which detects the user's movements and gestures. In a makerspace, members use it for projects in interactive design, virtual reality, and creative coding, allowing them to create experiences that respond to physical movement and gestures. It can also be utilized for robotics and art installations, enhancing hands-on engagement and creativity.
