Ticketed Workshop

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn and practice essential bleeding control techniques that can save a life in the critical moments before emergency responders arrive. Knowing how to stop severe bleeding is a vital skill for any emergency, and this training provides the practical experience needed to act with confidence.

 

What to Expect

Expect a focused training session led by a certified instructor. The class includes step-by-step demonstrations on recognizing life-threatening injuries and the proper application of direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquets. Participants will spend the majority of the session in supervised hands-on practice using medical training equipment to ensure they can apply these techniques effectively.

 

Skills You’ll Acquire

• How to recognize and slow life-threatening bleeding

• Proper technique for applying a tourniquet

• Methods for wound packing and applying direct pressure

• Practical experience managing simulated severe injuries

Who Should Attend

This workshop is designed for everyone—no prior medical experience is required. It is ideal for community members, parents, teachers, and workplace safety teams who want to be prepared for an emergency. 

 

Prerequisites/Safety Information

No prior training is required. Participants must be comfortable practicing hands-on techniques on simulated injuries. This training is free but registration is required to attend.
