Add Wish

MakeHaven Wishes is where members suggest ideas to improve our space—new tools, policies, events, or even wild ideas. Members can vote on their favorites, and staff review these to help guide priorities. While votes matter, feasibility, funding, and alignment with our mission also play a role in decisions.

  • New Equipment: Tools or machines for MakeHaven.
  • Lending Library: Tools members can borrow.
  • Policy/Operations: Suggestions for how we run things.
  • Space Infrastructure: Facility improvements.
  • Events & Activities: Workshops or community gatherings.
  • Wild Ideas: Out-of-the-box suggestions.

Reviewed and Declined - Considered but decided not to move forward.
Not Right Now - The answer is "no" but we may reassess in the future.
Research Needed - Maybe, let's look into it and understand more.
Planned Long Term - We intend to make it happen but may be lower priority or waiting on funding.
As Funding/Logistics Allow - Implementation dependent on available funding and logistics.
In Development - We are actively working to make it happen right now.

Analog photography is totally rad and magical! Watching a print develop before your eyes never gets old. Let's have a space in Makehaven that affords members the ability to process their own black and white or color film and make prints using real photographic chemistry!

Sheet Metal Bead Roller

Creates channels, ridges, and flanges to stiffen and minimize vibration in sheet metal parts or even just to decorate them---think truck bed floors and auto body panels. Stiffening allows for thinner gauges to be used and cheaper lighter sheet metal parts to be made.

Minimum cost is $175 for handcranked Eastwood #32044 model, expandable with optional power unit (+$300, Eastwood #21111) and rolling die set (+$225, Eastwood #20267).

To allow members and teams of members to make canoes, kayaks, and Adirondack Guide Boats. Ideally this strongback could be wheeled in and out of woodworking area and storage area. I am posting this wish to see what level of interest is out there. Several designs allow the strongback to taken apart and put into storage. Thanks

These are used by screen printers with all black ink to get consistent dark transparencies used in screen printing.
