Why

A high quality swaging machine would support local sailors and DIY riggers. This tool would allow members to professionally crimp and swage stainless steel wire for lifelines, standing rigging, and other marine applications.

There are a few different options we could consider:

  • Hydraulic Hand Swagers ($150–$500): Suitable for smaller projects, these can handle wire up to 1/4” stainless steel but require more manual effort.
  • Roller Swaging Machines ($7,000–$10,000+): A professional-grade tool that creates the strongest swages, handling wire up to 5/16” or more.
