Tufting is a process by which custom carpets can be made. The artist sketches a pattern on a cloth, then uses a tufting gun to inject the yarn into the cloth. During this session participants will learn hands-on how to tuft their own simple design. Each participant will be assigned the use of tufting gun and frame, all materials will be provided to create a rug approximately 20' x24". Over the two sessions participants will create a carpet of their own design which they can take home.

It's a great time to reduce stress! Join instructor Pam for this step-by-step workshop to create a 4 oz jar of homemade bath salts and a 4 oz jar of body scrub. Create an all-natural body scrub that leaves your skin feeling fresh. Bath salts are excellent for drawing impurities out of the body to reduce swelling. Decorate the jars for final touches to make them ultra-personalized. Ready to give as a gift, even if the recipient is you (we don't judge!) A fun workshop for yourself, or bring a friend along.

Participants will prepare to grow artificial leather-like material from the bacteria found in Kombucha. Each student will prepare one tray. The group will experiment with different sources of Kombucha bacteria/scoby/mother so results can be compared when harvested. The session will include a lecture informing students about the nature of bacteria in Kombucha and how that translates in to the leather-like material that is produced.
