In this free online class, learn how to design your own origami forms through the program Inkscape! The first part of the class will be to teach some of the basics of origami corrugations, and then we will use Inkscape to generate our own patterns that can be taken to the laser cutter for easier cutting. Taken to the next level, you can use this technique to work with thicker materials such as wood or cardboard to design more structurally-sound origami pieces.
To participate in this class you will need to install Inkscape on to your desktop computer. Click here to download.
No experience necessary, we recommend having taken the intro to inkscape and/or the intro to corrugations class
Time Requirement: 2 hours
