Respark Joy: Recycled, Reused, Redesigned Things Meetup

Tuesday, May 23, 2023 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

“Respark Joy is looking to educate, inspire, provide resources for anything Recycled, Reused, Redesigned, Refreshed and Reduced to combat Global Waste and Global Warming, one piece of used thing at a time. How might we respark the joy on used textiles, plastic, old jewelry and beyond?”
Welcome back to our monthly event to respark joy back into the things we currently own, keep them longer, and out of landfills!
This month, it’s Spring Edition! We will get together to learn and share skills on how to spring a new design into something pre-loved, using hand and machine embroidery - great for beginners + intermediate enthusiasts alike!
The meetup format is the same as last time: show & tell, followed by hands on activity.
Bonus: we will also have a demo of MakeHaven’s industrial embroidery machine.
We welcome new ideas for meetup or ideas/ resources to keep pre-loved items out of landfills. Share yours here!
