Help Your Shelves

Help Your Shelves is a project collaboration between MakeHaven, New Haven Reads, the New Haven Land Trust, and neighbors (like you!) helping neighbors.

Our goal is strengthen our wonderful neighborhoods by building and installing small structures to provide free books (for the first phase) and food (in a future phase) in public spaces. These "Help Your Shelves" structures (commonly known as Little Free Libraries or Little Free Pantries) will be built at MakeHaven and stocked and supported by New Haven Reads, volunteers from FISH, the New Haven Land Trust, and the communities where they reside.

We hope to move forward with phase one and to work with selected interested individuals (at no cost to them) to get the structures built, installed, and stocked as a collaboration between these organizations and members of the community.
