Sew Good

A  program to make more cloth masks
for community servicing organizations
through hiring sewists impacted by COVID-19.

...
Your donation results results in more masks in the community.

 $1000

200 cloth masks or face shields, or
100 healthcare worker pocket filter masks

$250

50 cloth masks or face shields, or
25 healthcare worker pocket filter masks

$50   10 cloth masks or face shields, or
5 healthcare worker pocket fileter masks

All money raised goes directly to the person sewing the masks! Note: that in the event that we raise more than the demand for masks, any additional funds will go toward other COVID-19 relief initiatives.

How it works: wonderful people donate money. The money translates to an order for masks for an organization in need. The order is completed by a professional in need of work during this time. The money goes to the sewist, the masks go to the organizations in need! It's a win for our individuals in need, our organizations in need, and our community!

Current organizations requesting masks/shields include:

  • Yale New-Haven Hospital
  • Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen
  • CT Hospice
  • USPS
  • CT Food Bank
  • New Haven Dept. of Fire Services
