Complete these items to earn the badge.
- Video watched, quiz taken?
- What kind of thread should be used? (Machine embroidery thread, 40wt, pre-wound 60wt L type bobbins)
- Identify:
- Frame sizes
- Which frame holder is used for the 4 frames we have? (Frame A)
- Tools in the toolbox
- Perform an embroidery:
- Turn machine on
- Oil the bobbin, check to make sure there’s enough thread, brush out the compartment
- Make a design (Home Screen & Edit Design Screen)
- Choose colors
- Hoop fabric
- Choose a stabilizer
- Hoop the fabric well, making sure it’s taut
- Adjust frame holder
- Install frame
- Choose settings on Embroidery Settings Screen
- Align fabric using laser/alignment sheets
- Rearrange spool assignments on Embroidery Screen
- Load new threads
- Make sure the thread is run properly
- Needles threaded using tool
- Run program
- Remove frame and de-hoop fabric
- Put away & Clean up!
