Community Constructs: A MakeHaven and Habitat for Humanity Build Day
What to Expect:
During this build day, you’ll have the chance to work side by side with fellow MakeHaven members as we tackle various construction tasks. Whether you’re a seasoned builder or new to the world of construction, there will be opportunities for everyone to lend a hand and learn valuable skills along the way. From framing walls to installing windows, every contribution helps to bring these homes one step closer to completion.
How to Get Involved:
Participation in this build day is completely free and open to all. However, please note that registration is required through the Habitat for Humanity website. Anyone 16 & 17yrs of age can join, so long as a guardian is also present.

Here’s how to sign up:
1. Visit the Habitat for Humanity website at https://www.volunteerup.com/Login.asp?w=i&o=272.
2. Log in or create a new account.
3. Follow the instructions to register, including choosing “MakeHaven” as your group and sign up for the build day.
Please be sure to register as soon as possible to secure your spot and receive important details about the event as we get closer to the date. If you have any issues registering please contact Allison Mangles, Director of Family Services and Volunteer Engagement, at: amangles@habitatgnh.org or (203) 785-0794 ext. 110
Location/Parking Info:
Please note the address for this site. When using Google Maps or Waze, please type in 129 Main Street Annex, New Haven. When using Apple Maps please enter 129 Main Street Annex, New Haven and hit search. DO NOT click on the 129 Main Street that populates in the search as it will bring you to a different Main Street in New Haven. There are three houses located right next to each other (123, 129, and 135 Main Street Annex) so the site is quite large and can be seen from the street. Parking for volunteers is on Huntington Street or another surrounding street. There is not parking right on Main Street Annex.
