Shop Tour: EWS 3-D -- Artistry in Metal Fabrication
This exclusive tour will showcase the workshop's diverse portfolio, from structural marvels to delicate sculptures, highlighting the team's ability to blend various mediums such as wood, glass, and metal into stunning pieces. Edwin Salmon, with a rich history of national projects and local contributions, including works for Quinnipiac University and sculptures displayed across Connecticut, will lead us through his journey of art and fabrication.
Discover how a foundation in structural steel gives rise to sculptures that challenge our perception of materials and artistry. Edwin's work, influenced by his life experiences and family, spans semi-realistic figures to abstract geometric forms, each piece a narrative in itself.
What to Expect:
- A guided tour by Edwin Salmon, revealing the process behind their exquisite staircases, furniture, sculptures, and more.
- Insights into the integration of various materials and techniques.
- A conversation on the fusion of function and form, and how post-industrial materials find new life in art.
- After the tour we will drop into the Beeracks for a beverage and discussion.
