This is the standing time for new members to join. In this orientation we will go over all the basics of MakeHaven and issue keys. Time allowing we will do the the tool orientation for the 3d printer or laser cutter.

Before attending it is helpful if you have already applied for members.

All-Grains Brewing with Andrew Orefice

This class is for those who have taken Basic Brewing or for experienced home brewers looking for more.

All grain brewing differs from extract brewing mainly in the wort production stage.

In this class, brew will be made from malted grains and water.

MUST BE 21 YEARS OR OLDER AND SHOW PROOF OF I.D.

The make-a-thon is a two day celebration and marathon of making. Participants will work on teams to create something wonderful. At the end of the day everyone will come together and show off what they have made. There will be prizes and celebration.

The Arts and Ideas Festival has offered MakeHaven the opportunity to participate in the festival by showing off all the ways we make things.

*B-A-M!* express yourself! This class will show you how, in black and white. 

You will learn how to hand cut transparencies to create a print which will be transferred on a T-shirt, using a silk screen. 

To help get you started with the basics, MakeHaven will have some basic designs available to inspire you. You will make a T-shirt print from these to learn the basics of how to silk screen on your own. You will also learn how to make your own stencil in the class.

 

 $25.00 This is a 2 hour class. Limited to 6 people

This no-cost mold making and casting seminar will introduce attendees to a new world of material possibility and how to work with rubbers, plastics, foams and gypsums are used for a variety of applications including:

Reproducing Sculpture - Casting Concrete - Prototype Model Making - Theatrical Props - Architectural Restoration - Life Casting - Robotics - Medical - Toy Making - Movie Special Effects - Culinary - Casting Wax.

Seminar will include hands-on demonstration and instruction on mold making during the two hour presentation.

Not only can you talk about the case, but you can tell folks about the place (talk up MakeHaven!), that you went to make the case. All this for $15.00, a bargain!
