The main makerspace and connected shops. This is located at 770 Chapel Street. Registered participants should ring the MakeHaven labeled doorbell. They will be directed down a long hallway, and down a set of stairs to our basement workshop.

 

Join us for a free study session with practice questions to prepare for the FCC test! In this session the group will practice answering random questions and review key terminology used in radio as well as some core concepts. 

The ARRL Ham Radio License Manual (guide with all the test topics covered) will be available for purchase for home study.

 

About FCC HAM License Test

Certification test for getting your radio technicians license will be held at MakeHaven in March.  Passing this test makes available many bands for wireless comunnications. It allows the operation of inexpensive hand held radios, morse code, sideband, AM, FM and digital comunication modes. The test itself is $15 and consists of 35 multiple choice questions from a test bank of 450 questions.
