Woodworking Joinery Core Series: Finger Joints
What to Expect
This is a hands-on workshop focused on finishing up work on the dado joint and applying those precision concepts to cutting finger joints. We will discuss the mechanics of interlocking square fingers and how they create stable, self-aligning corners. The class format allows you to interact directly with the material, with opportunities to practice setting up repeatable indexing guides, cutting matching fingers, and checking spacing for a flush fit. By the end of class, you will have a completed joint sample to take home for future reference.

Please wear closed toe shoes and avoid loose clothing or hanging jewelry. All participants must follow standard shop safety protocols.
What to Bring
All materials are provided. You can bring a notebook if you would like to sketch the joint layouts or machinery.
