Whether you're working on something wild and wonderful, or still brainstorming your next big idea, this is the perfect space to show it off or bounce ideas around. We want to see what you’ve been up to, hear your stories, and get inspired by each other’s creativity. Feel free (but not required!) to bring a snack or drink to share. Whether you're a seasoned maker, just starting out, or anywhere in between, this event is for you. Come hang out, make connections, and let’s keep building together!

Halloween Potluck & Fall Fest

 

Meet in the main space for some Halloweeny fun. Make a fall themed wreath with Ellen ($10 materials cost), make (and taste if you dare!) fake blood with Jeremy, or just bring a favorite fall treat to share and hang with makers. 
 

Costumes highly encouraged! The crowd-voted favorite costume will win a gift card!

Quilt Club at MakeHaven

Bring a machine if you have one to work on your project. Snacks/drinks to share are always welcome!

This month at MakeHaven we will have a quiet quilters area upstairs for those wanting to work on projects as usual, as well as demos of the laser cutter (to cut and engrave fabric), the embroidery machine, and the long arm quilter!

Holiday Clay


What to Expect:
In this class, you'll learn how to cover a glass ornament with polymer clay canes, thread tassels to add a decorative touch, and make a coordinating hook to match your ornament. While your creations bake, instructor Nancy will demonstrate the process of making polymer clay canes, providing you with tips and tricks to enhance your skills.

Sewing 101


What to Expect:
In this beginner-friendly class, you'll receive hands-on guidance through the essential techniques of sewing. From winding a bobbin to threading and safely operating a sewing machine, you'll learn the foundational skills needed to start your sewing journey. The workshop will also cover basic machine stitches, providing a solid base for future projects.

Learn to Make

 

What to Expect:
Explore the fundamentals of stained glass using the "Tiffany" method. Learn to design, cut, grind, foil, and solder glass pieces into a cohesive panel. Receive expert guidance and demonstrations throughout the entire process.

Master the art of precision cutting and grinding glass. 
Gain proficiency in foiling and soldering techniques.
Understand design principles specific to stained glass.

Intro to Mosaic Madness


What to Expect:
- Detailed guidance on mosaic design principles and techniques.
- Hands-on practice in mixing mortar, cutting glass, and embedding tiles.
- Expert tips on grouting to enhance the aesthetic appeal of your coaster(s).

License to Chill

Help kitchen facilitators Theresa and Jeremy give the kitchen a good cleanout and inventory. We'll start the ice cream maker, do some work, and have ice cream ready to go when we finish making the kitchen sparkle
