  • Hand Routers
  • Video watched, quiz taken, hair/clothing properly restrained, any questions? Wear shop apron if desired
  • Identify and describe all controls, adjustments, and functions of the trim router and its accessories
  • Route a bead around the edge of a piece of wood using either the plunge base or fixed depth base
  • Piece of wood secured well, no staples etc.
  • Appropriate bit chosen (with bearing), and secured well
  • Router unplugged when bit is changed
  • Cord out of way
  • Appropriate speed setting
  • Two hands holding the tool
  • Workpiece not touching tool when started
  • Router always moving against the direction that the bit is spinning
  • Bit stopped before router is put down
