In this two-part workshop, participants will learn how to marble leather and create their own colorful, one-of-a-kind leather accessories. Leather marbling is similar to traditional paper or fabric marbling, but it uses different dyes and requires unique preparation and finishing techniques. Across two evenings, you’ll explore the full process without needing to purchase specialty pigments, tools, or safety equipment or risk dyeing your entire kitchen floor at home. By the end, participants will leave with a finished pair of earrings or a bracelet/cuff featuring their own custom marbled pattern.

Over ten weeks, you will join a small cohort of fellow makers to dive into Woodworking, Textiles, Digital Fabrication, and Metalworking. It is the quickest way to go from "I don't know how to use that" to "I made this."

In this hands-on quilting workshop, participants will learn the basics of machine quilting by combining a quilt top, batting, and backing into a finished piece. The focus will be on quilting with domestic sewing machines, which work best for simple designs and smaller quilts such as crib, lap, or twin sizes. Participants will learn approachable techniques for quilting layers together with confidence.

The Foundations of Fabrication (FoF) program is an expansive course that covers 15 disciplines over 4.5 months.
