Our monthly community social is back with a special Plant & Seed Swap twist.

Spring is in the air, and it’s time to let your creativity (and your garden) grow! Second Sundays is our monthly social gathering where makers of all kinds come together to connect. This month, we’re adding a green thumb twist to our usual shop talk. Whether you’re a master gardener, a propagation pro, or a total beginner just looking to start a windowsill herb garden, join us for a relaxed afternoon of swapping stories, seeds, and inspiration.

What to Expect

  • The Big Swap: Trade seeds, established starters, or healthy plant cuttings with fellow members. It’s a great way to diversify your garden for free!
  • Maker Show-and-Tell: As always, we want to see what you’ve been up to in the shop. Bring your latest "wild and wonderful" project to show off or get feedback on.
  • Brainstorming & Advice: Stuck on a build or a planting schedule? Bounce ideas around with the group and get inspired by the collective creativity of the MakeHaven community.
  • Social Snacking: Enjoy some downtime in the kitchen with good company and great conversation.

What to Bring

  • Plants & Seeds: Bring labeled seeds, rooted cuttings, or potted starters you’re ready to part with. (Please ensure they are pest-free!)
  • Projects in Progress: Bring your current maker project, photos of your work, or just your latest big idea.
  • Snacks to Share: We’ll provide some basic refreshments, but feel free to bring along a favorite treat to share if you're feeling inspired.

Who Should Join

This meetup is open to the public and makers of all stripes. You don’t need to be a "plant person" to attend. If you enjoy making things and meeting creative people, you belong here!

  • Frequency: Meets every second Sunday of the month.
  • Cost: Free and open to the public.
  • RSVP: Please sign up in advance so we can get an accurate headcount for snacks and table space.
