Soldering 200: Learn Surface Mount Soldering

Wednesday, September 6, 2023 - 6:30pm to 9:00pm

Level up your soldering skills by building a color changing light for your bike spokes.

Participants will be given a circuit board and walked through the process of soldering surface mount (miniature and more challenging to work with) components to that board.

Each participant will leave with one finished bike light board. The bike light color can be customized by configuring switches on the board or using a tilt switch to make the color dependent on the device orientation.

Some soldering skill required; complete a few through-hole soldering projects before taking this class. If you need a starting point, we have a separate intro to soldering class.
