Previously an exclusive offering, this sought-after course led by Ceresa Bolden, Founder & Stitch Coach at Endangered Stitches, LLC, is your ticket to sewing mastery. Perfect for both beginners and those looking to elevate their skills, this 5-week workshop takes you beyond the basics, offering lessons on pattern making, garment construction, and, of course, loads of sewing fun!

 

This class meets Wednesdays: October 22, 29 & November 5, 12, 19, from 5:30–7:00 PM.

 

What to Expect

Each week builds on the last as you learn essential techniques in pattern making, garment construction, and fabric handling. Ceresa will guide you step-by-step through planning, cutting, and assembling your garments using both knit and woven fabrics. Expect a fun, supportive environment with plenty of instruction and time for hands-on sewing.

Projects You’ll Create

  1. Leggings – Custom-fit leggings made with knit fabric
  2. Kimono-Inspired Cardigan – A stylish, versatile layering piece using woven fabric

Skills You’ll Acquire

• Pattern making and adaptation

• Garment construction for both knit and woven projects

• Fabric selection based on weight, texture, and stretch

• Seam finishing techniques for a clean, professional look

• Sewing machine operation and troubleshooting

Who Should Attend

Ideal for beginner to intermediate sewists who are ready to move beyond the basics and create wearable garments. This class supports a range of experience levels and offers a balance of technical instruction and creative exploration.

Prerequisites/Safety Information

Participants should be comfortable setting up and operating a sewing machine. If you’re not yet comfortable using a sewing machine, we recommend taking the Sewing 101 class on October 8th with Ceresa to prepare. No other experience required—just bring patience, focus, and a creative spirit.

This class runs Wednesdays: October 22, 29 & November 5, 12, 19, from 5:30–7:00 PM (7.5 hours total).
