Ticketed Workshop

Instructor: Gayle Hawley

In this hands-on quilting workshop, participants will explore improv piecing by loosening traditional rules and embracing spontaneous fabric placement. This session encourages bold color choices, playful composition, and experimentation without strict measurements or patterns. By the end of class, each participant will have completed at least one improvisationally pieced quilt block.

What to Expect

This standalone skill class meets on Sunday, August 2, from 1–4pm. This class combines demonstration and guided practice. This class focuses on experimentation and creative confidence. The instructor will offer prompts and guidance while encouraging participants to trust their instincts and explore new approaches to piecing.

For those who want extra time to continue working on their project, ask questions, or quilt alongside others, we will also offer a separate Quilt-Along session later in the month. This optional follow-up meets on Sunday, August 16, 1–4pm, and is ticketed separately at $10 ($8 for members).
