Ticketed Workshop

Instructor: Gayle Hawley

In this hands-on quilting workshop, participants will learn two different methods for creating Flying Geese units, a versatile element often used in borders and block designs. You’ll explore construction techniques, discuss sizing and scaling, and practice strategies for improving consistency. The class will also include time to experiment with fussy cutting to highlight interesting sections of fabric. By the end of class, each participant will have completed several Flying Geese units and one or two finished quilt blocks.

What to Expect

This standalone skill class meets on Sunday, June 7th, from 1–4pm. This class combines demonstration and guided practice. Participants will learn multiple Flying Geese methods, then apply them directly while receiving individualized support. Design and fabric placement will be discussed alongside technical construction.

For those who want extra time to continue working on their project, ask questions, or quilt alongside others, we will also offer a separate Quilt-Along session later in the month. This optional follow-up meets on Sunday, June 21, 1–4pm, and is ticketed separately at $10 ($8 for members).
