MakeHaven Main Space
The main makerspace and connected shops. This is located at 770 Chapel Street. Registered participants should ring the MakeHaven labeled doorbell. They will be directed down a long hallway, and down a set of stairs to our basement workshop.
2020: the year when you didn't toss it, you fixed it! Bring an item (or items) of clothing in need of a patch, a hem, or a minor repair. We will gather together, learn from each other and mend our torn garments. We will chat about intentions for the New Year: what projects, changes or themes do you want to MAKE happen in 2020?
We've got thread and needles, some patches, embroidery floss, a small darner, and lots of imagination. Members badged on the sewing machine can jump on the machine as needed (or swing by early to meet with Regina and snag a badge!) We'll make some coffee, tea, hot cocoa and popcorn -- feel free to bring a favorite snack or beverage to share. Drawing, journaling, carving, fiber arts, and other quiet and handheld activity welcome. Free and open to all.
Hosted by MakeHaven facilitator Regina.
