Women & Woodworking (MakeHaven Member event)

MakeHaven's female* members come together to learn tools in the woodshop in a fun, supportive women-only gathering.

About this Event

MakeHaven's female* members are invited to the woodshop to add some woodworking badges to their toolbelt. In this session, MakeHaven woodshop facilitator Jen will lead a group of women through the badging for:

  • Shapeoko
  • Jointer
  • Router table

We'll work as a supportive group, then celebrate with a toast. MakeHaven will provide beer & wine at the close (feel free to BYOB if you have a favorite!) Note that as per usual MH rules, time in the woodshop ends when alcohol consumption begins. Members are also welcome to BYOB/snacks.

*This event is open to all MakeHaven members who identify as female, transgender, femme, genderqueer, trans-masculine, trans-feminine, or feel that their socialization or treatment as a woman, transperson, femme could impede their participation in woodworking.
