Yes you Can!: Intro to Fermentation

Sunday, June 4, 2023 - 1:00pm to 2:30pm
Do you have too many vegetables? Would you like to learn how to easily turn them into hot sauces, sauerkraut, pickles? Do you dream of controlling an army of microbes and bacteria? Well then you're in luck!
Join Matt McGuirk, MakeHaven member and local fermentation enthusiast, for a 90-minute workshop on how to use lacto-fermentation to preserve foods. Participants will learn the basics of lacto-fermentation, food safety with ferments, and easy recipes. Everyone who joins will take home a mason jar and airlock for fermenting at home, and participants are welcome to bring their own veggies to get a ferment started during the workshop!
