A simple leather tote bag that will serve many ways. This leather bag is easy to make and works great as purse or shopper. With just one yard of faux leather and little effort, you will be surprised what can you achieve.
Sewing Straps
Take your narrow straps and cut them to a point at each end.
Position straps where you like on your tote and secure them with clips. I positioned my straps 4" in from each side.
This is the trickiest part of the whole tote: Carefully sew around your straps ends securing them to your tote permanently. Sew close to the edge and go slow.
You will have to pivot your needle a few times to get the desired effect.
You don't have to exactly replicate this stitching on the straps if you find an easier way than do that!
