Home Made Games Night

Let us gather for beers and snacks and play games we have made ourselves.

I love boardgames but was disappointed that classics like Monopoly and the game of life did not have the aspects of gameplay that I wanted. The Game Of Life in particular seemed too limited in your choices and it did not show much interaction between players and society.

Submitted by Kip Steele on

Right now there are several spaces outside of Connecticut  in the Northeast that I'd like to go and check out:

1. NYC Resistor (Brooklyn,NY)

2. AS 220 (Providence,RI)

3. Artisan's Asylum(Boston,MA)

4. MITERS (Cambridge,MA)

Road trip anyone?

Tool envy -- Shapeoko

Submitted by Kip Steele on

I love robots. I love computers. And Im starting to love tools the more I get to try to improve on my n00b skillz. So when I get a chance to see tools and computers together that I can have access to in my own house, garage, or makerspace that I am happily a member of,  I think this may deserve a look as something to add to the space.

David Gaynes has directed a movie about the Hubble telescope and is taking it on a roadshow across the US. He'll be in the area on June 31st and it could be cool to kick off the movie in the space.
