Lior will walk step by step through building a bird house without having to plug anything in. To actively participate in building your own bird house you will need to acquire both materials and hand-tools.
- Wood. A pine board 5 feet long, 5 inches wide, and a half inch thick is sufficient. Plywood, other woods, or larger dimensions are OK too.
- 1-2" galvanized nails
- Exterior Wood glue (Titebond 3)
- Exterior Paint
- Hand Saw
- Tape Measure
- Drill (powered drill is OK), or coping/fret saw
If you are going to the store to buy tools, the following will do the trick:
- Medium size carpenter's saw
- Tape measure
- Speed square
- Miter box
- Coping saw with blades
We recommend Goody's Hardware in East Haven to acquire the items you need.
