Shapeoko Upgrade: Bitrunner
Submitted by Corey Rice on Wed, 10/05/2022 - 7:27pmhttps://shop.carbide3d.com/products/bitrunner-v2?variant=39390450286653
"BitRunner allows Carbide Motion to control power to your router without the need for you to reach for the power switch each time a program ends or each time a tool change is required.
This new version of BitRunner includes a new lockout pendant so you can manually disable the router during bit changes for additional safety.

A separate cooler for TIG and Forge and Carts
Submitted by Mara Heneks on Mon, 09/26/2022 - 3:24amWe can easily make carts for the TIG and Forge, but each one needs different things and shouldn't really be right next to each other. Having a single cooler isn't really great for the hot work space, and a second cooler would mean we could just make custom carts for all of their related stuff and allow them to be positioned for working.
Rotary Welding Table
Submitted by Lior Trestman on Wed, 09/21/2022 - 5:21pmVery useful for welding circles! https://www.vevor.com/welding-positioner-c_10058/50kg-80w-rotary-welding...
Sewing room with one or two newer sewing machines
Submitted by Christina Quinonez on Mon, 09/19/2022 - 5:31pmThe space & especially the equipment would benefit of having their own space. This will make sure the machines are kept clean & working properly for years to come. Also fabrics will stay cleaner & free of allergens. Upgraded sewing machines would also benefit the space because they are more versatile.
Fusion 360 training, on site
Submitted by Lisa Krasnow on Mon, 09/12/2022 - 2:02pmThere are so many random tutorials out there for it, but in the end, they are not cohesive - from beginning to the point where it is useful for working with on our CNC machines. It would just be great to have someone to make the process more clear.
New easier to use Brewing System
Submitted by Mara Heneks on Thu, 09/08/2022 - 11:12pmOur current brewing system is.... quirky. Liam and I are able to get good beer out of it but it's hard to clean, and hard to learn. A new all in one brewing system is relatively inexpensive and should be able to make batches quicker and with less to learn.
Wiring and Programming HuanYang VFD for 2x72 Belt Grinder
Submitted by Lior Trestman on Thu, 09/01/2022 - 10:45amI'm posting this blog because it took me a while to find the correct codes to program this VFD with, so hopefully by putting all of the information in one spot someone else will have an easier go of it.
This is the VFD that came with a 2x72 Belt Grinder bought on Ebay (from Remmer-4513). In the end, the codes that worked for me were:
-PD002: 1
-PD003: 60
-PD004: 60
-PD005: 60
-PD070: 1
-PD072: 60
